A Time For Everything

2021 180 x 105 x 260 cm wood, black paint, acoustic foam, readymade objects: ceramic plate, steel cutlery, Wittner metronome

This stage was envisioned as the merging of a domestic scene with the walls of a sound studio. It was painted fully black to make it one solid entity. The intention was for it to communicate an oppressive silence. The metronome on the table ticks at 60 beats per minute, like a clock. Nothing says silence like “tick-tock, tick-tock!” Additionally, the stage was used for a performative reading of a text about time, the wind and nostalgia.
