2019 performance, 15:00 minutes mask-wearing, flute-playing, singing
The transverse flute belongs to the woodwind family of instruments. They are called so because most woodwind instruments owe their sound to a small, vibrating piece of wood, the reed, placed in the instrument’s mouthpiece. However, the transverse flute does not have a reed. ‘Woodwind’ was a play at “being” the reed, and giving the wood back to the wind instrument.
